Whether in the field or classroom, Drake is driven by a mission to instill confidence, capability, and resilience in every client he serves.

Hi, I’m Amber Quintana

The co-founder/other half of both Montoya K9 and Tactical Throwing.

I am a disabled Air Force Veteran, Mom to the 4 legged Montoya K9 Pack & the very first student of our Tactical Throwing program.

When I picked up my first throwing knife I had no prior experience, no background in martial arts- zero training! Drake showed me how to throw, I took to it easily, & fell in love with throwing. Not just because it’s fun (it is), or because it looks cool (also true), it gave me focus while being in touch with my physical body. It helped me feel more calm and confident. Now, I get to help others find that same thing!

Tactical Throwing isn’t about being a “weapons expert.” It’s for everyday people who want to learn a new skill, let off steam, and feel empowered. Whether you're a Veteran, a busy parent, or just someone looking for something fun to do—start throwing!
